What We Do
We work with schools and districts to:
- Address the challenges that secondary schools face today - improving the achievement of
all students, meeting AYP, providing a multi-tiered or RTI support system, preventing
drop outs, and improving students' content literacy
- Plan, implement, and sustain a comprehensive school improvement effort using the Content Literacy Continuum as a framework
- Provide professional development, coaching, on-going support, and evaluation
to ensure the success of this comprehensive reform effort
- Create a unique program for each school by integrating our research proven interventions with existing initiatives
- Develop tools and products to respond to the needs of schools and districts
Why We Are Effective
- We provide a school-wide improvement model based on decades (or over thirty years) of
research conducted by the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning.
- We offer a model, the Content Literacy Continuum, which provides integrated interventions
designed to work together - not a random set of interventions.
- We employ a dedicated staff of educators and professionals with over 25 years of experience in education.
- We partner with a network of professional developers certified by the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning,
- We create individualized programs that respond to the needs of every school and every child.
